As COVID-19 continues to be part of our daily lives, the way that it impacts our practice is ever changing. We continue to follow the OSHA COVID-19 Healthcare Emergency Temporary Standard that was put into place in 2021.
From a patient standpoint you will notice:
Airpura UV600 Air Purifiers
These units have true HEPA filters that removes up to 99.97% of airborne particles that are as small as 0.3 microns in diameter. They also have 20 watt germicidal lamps.
RenewAire EV200 is what is known as a ERV. (Energy Recovery Ventilator)
The RenewAire EV200 is a system designed by the way of two fans, to draw clean, fresh air into the office and remove stale air, thereby always bring in fresh outside air. This unit also has HEPA filters in it.

Dr. Zimmer grew up in the Upper Peninsula and graduated from L’Anse High School. He attended Michigan Technological University, where he graduated with Bachelors of Science in Biology. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Michigan. After graduation, he practiced in the St. Joseph area for over a year before he bought his current practice, where he’s been since 1996. He is married to Lisa, a teacher in the Mt. Pleasant school system. They have 2 adult children. In his free time he enjoys golf, hockey, and hiking. He is an active member in 9th District Dental Society, the Michigan Dental Society where he served for 6 years on the State Peer Review committee, and the American Dental Association. He has been a clinical consultant to The Dental Advisor since 2002.
